What is Elke Dag Mama?
Elke Dag Mama Capsules are formulated in such a way that two capsules contain exactly the same as one tablet of Elke Dag Mama. An advantage of this product in capsule form is that the capsule is easier to swallow and, if desired, can be opened to mix the contents.
Elke Dag Mama contains the most important nutrients in the right proportions and in dosages according to the latest insights. Only good absorbable connections have been chosen for this.
Women who want to have children are advised to take extra folic acid at least one month prior to conception. Elke Dag Mama uses a superior, biologically active form of folic acid (folate) bound to glucosamine salt (Quatrefolic®). The binding with glucosamine salt makes it possible to keep the biologically active form stable and ensures optimal absorption. This multi contains 600 mcg of folic acid (as 5-methyltetrahydrofolate) per tablet. Elke Dag Mama contains 160 mcg of vitamin B12 in the biologically active forms of methyl- and adenosylcobalamin. The advantage of the body's own forms is that they do not have to be converted (as is the case with cyanocobalamin), but are directly available to the body.
Elke Dag Mama contains a generous dose of choline of 125 mg per tablet. This dosage is a nice addition to the dietary intake of choline. Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding need more vitamin D than can be produced under the influence of the sun (especially in the Netherlands) or can be obtained from food. Elke Dag Mama, therefore, contains no less than 25 mcg of vitamin D3. Women generally need more iron than men. During pregnancy, women need even more iron to support the production of cells and tissues. Elke Dag Mama, therefore, contains a generous daily dose of 28 mg of iron from the easily absorbable and stomach-friendly iron bisglycinate (Ferrochel®). The amount of iodine (150 mcg) and copper (1 mg) in Elke Dag Mama are also higher than in the regular Elke Dag multi.
Many pregnant women are warned about the dangers of too much vitamin A. However, the need for vitamin A is higher during pregnancy and breastfeeding. It is therefore important not to be too careful with the intake of vitamin A. Elke Dag Mama, therefore, contains a dose of 7.2 mg of natural beta-carotene (pro-vitamin A). The body will not convert more beta-carotene into vitamin A than it needs and this will not lead to an excessively high vitamin A level.
Elke Dag Mama Capsules is specially made for women around the pregnancy and breastfeeding period and is also available in tablet form (one per day). Vitals has developed separate multi programs for children, teenagers, adults and the elderly. See also Elke Dag Junior, Elke Dag Capsules, Elke Dag and Elke Dag Senior. In addition, there is Elke Dag Powder for those who prefer not to swallow a capsule or tablet, or who prefer to mix the multi through something.
