What is Vitals Milk Thistle PS?
Milk Thistle (Silybum marianum) is an herb that has a very strong reputation, especially for supporting liver function and sugar metabolism.* The name 'milk thistle' comes from the legend that the white spots on the leaves come from milk of the Blessed Virgin Mary. For milk thistle supplements, usually, the seeds (fruits) are used for extraction. The black pericarp contains flavonolignans (including silymarin, whose main component is silybin), flavonoids and phenol derivatives. Silybin is the main active ingredient.
